My Tasks - Create a task
Follow the below steps to create a task in your task manager.
After you log in to your account, click “MY TASKS” on the left-hand toolbar and click the green “NEW TASK” button.
Complete all the fields in the new task dialogue including task title, priority, the assignee, description and other information.
You can assign your task to anyone in your address book and include any other interested parties as “followers” to keep them in the loop with any comments or related email notifications.
The “Approved by” field allows you designate a contact responsible for signing off a task. However, using this field does not restrict the task creator, assignee or followers from dragging the task to “DONE”.
Sub-task checklists can be used to further divide the task up in to pieces to provide further detail to the assignee.
You can also add any related attachments via the “ATTACH FILE” button.
When finished, click the “Save” button.
Once you have completed your task information, click the “SAVE” button to send email notifications to the assignee and other selected contacts.
Any related attachments will also be included with the email notification.
Note: If you assign a task to yourself, no email notification will be sent.
Edit a task
This article will show you how to edit a task and notify assignees and followers of updates.
After you log in to your account, click MY TASKS on the left-hand toolbar and click on the task you would like to edit
Make edits to any related task information.
Task creators, assignees, and followers are all able to make edits to task information.
Once you have edited your task information, click the SAVE button to send email notifications to the assignee and other selected contacts.
Edited information will be highlighted in the body of the email notification to clarify the parts of the task that have been changed for recipients.
Update the status of a task
Task creators, assignees and followers can update the status of a task using two methods.
Drag and drop your task from one column to another to update its status.
Open your task and click on the menu on the top right-hand side of the dialog to display the task status menu. After selecting the related status, click save and your task will be updated.
Note: task creators, assignees and followers will only be notified via email when a task status is changed to Ready for Review.
Users can also update the status of a task directly from their task email notifications. This allows for contacts without Webuild accounts to easily collaborate on project tasks.

Archive a task
Once tasks are completed or no longer relevant, you can archive them to hide them from your scrumboard. Follow the steps below to archive your task.
After you log in to your account, click MY TASKS on the left-hand toolbar and click on the task you would like to archive.
Open your task and click on the ARCHIVE on the bottom right-hand side of the dialogue. After closing the task dialog, it will be hidden from your scrumboard.
Note: archived tasks can be accessed by selecting the “Archived” option in the task filter.
Unarchive a task
Follow the steps below to unarchive your task.
After you log in to your account, click MY TASKS on the left-hand toolbar, set the task filter to “Archived” and click on the task you would like to unarchive.
Open your task and click on the RESTORE on the bottom right-hand side of the dialogue.
Search for a task
Your task board will display all tasks created by you, assigned to you and tasks you are following. Because your task board can fill up quickly, it helps to be able to search for and filter the tasks that may be more urgent than others.
The task filter allows you to quickly filter your tasks by “All tasks”, tasks “Assigned to you”, tasks you are “Following” and “Archived” tasks.
To use this filter, click and select the filters you would like to apply to the task board.
For more specific task filtering, we recommend using the search field. Using the search filter, you can filter your tasks by title, description, status, priority, assignees, followers, projects and task codes.
Start a task message thread
Task creators, assignees, “to be approved by” contacts and followers can ask questions or give any related feedback about a task by starting a message thread.
Task collaborators can add comments to a task message thread by replying directly to task email notifications, or by adding them directly to a task via the task dialog.
a) reply directly to any task email notification to add a comment to your task
b) all other contacts related to your task will receive an email notification displaying your comment
c) your comment will also be added to the “MESSAGES” tab of the related task in your task board.
